Biography
This Cheshire harpist began her studies in her native New Zealand, gaining two Diplomas and a Bachelor of Music degree. After completing an M.A. at the University of Wales, Cardiff, she returned to New Zealand and the post of Principal Harp with the New .Zealand Symphony Orchestra until 1989.
Since arriving in Britain, she has established a busy and successful freelance career, playing with many of this country's leading orchestras including the Halle, R.L.P.O., BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, R.P.O., Ulster Orchestra and Sinfonia Viva. Her work takes her throughout the UK and Europe, with touring musicals, ballet companies and orchestras.
She has played at the Proms and at the Royal Opera house, Covent Garden, and her playing has featured on several orchestral and solo CD's. For many years she appeared with the Performing Arts Symphony Orchestra at their summer season of concerts in the grounds of stately homes and castles throughout England and Wales.
Anna is also much in demand as a solo harpist for corporate functions and weddings.
